Incorporated in 2020, Natural Biogenex Private Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Natural Capsules Limited a listed entity, engaged in selling hard shell capsules. Natural Capsules Limited (NCL) is a hard capsule shell manufacturer, which pioneered manufacturing of vegetarian capsules in India and is the second largest Indian manufacturer for gelatin capsules with a capacity to manufacture 18 billion capsules per annum. Natural Bio is the Promoter Group’s next venture – foraying into the API Business. The Company is in the process of commissioning a greenfield manufacturing facility in Tumkur near Bengaluru in Southern India, that will be engaged in manufacturing complex bulk drugs, with a high-end, patented technology. This plant is planned to be a zero-liquid discharge, integrated facility which will use fermentation and synthesis chain reactions to manufacture steroidal APIs. The Company aims for this facility to be compliant with WHO GMP (Geneva), USFDA and EU GMP certification guidelines in the future.

The Company has won a PLI scheme for manufacturing of 3 products:

  • Prednisolone & derivative salts
  • Betamethasone & derivative salts
  • Dexamethasone & derivative salts

ESG & Impact

  • 40 rainwater pits being constructed to charge the run-down water into earth.
  • Building roof-top water being collected into a 300 KL capacity Rainwater Collection Tank for future use.
  • 200 KW of Solar power panels and 64 CST dishes installed to generate about 15 KL of hot water per day.
  • A ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge) facility being constructed to ensure that no liquid is discharged.
  • A 20 KLD ICR (Instant Catalytic Reduction) system installed in its Pondicherry Plant to reduce the COD from the effluent water.
  • Heat Recovery System being installed in the compressed air generation system to recover an approximate of 3.5 lakh Kilo Calories per hour. Also, built in the flue gas exhaust of Boiler to reduce the temperature of exhaust flue gas from 385 deg to about 160 deg CG.
  • Free Student Coaching Centre for students appearing for higher studies examination. (Currently, coaching about 65 boys and girls.)
  • Initiation of a Tank Bund Beautification Program for Somasagara Water Tank.
